
Shannon Pope has over 15 years experience in both CPA Firms and Public Companies. During her time in Public Accounting, she worked in tax, auditing, write up and accounting software consulting. She, currently, has clients across the United States and abroad, both individuals and Companies, for which she prepares income tax returns (Federal, State and Multi-State).
While in industry, Shannon has been responsible for Federal, State, and International tax compliance for publicly traded companies filing tax returns in twenty nine states and seven countries. This included FAS 109 calculation, tax accounting and all related footnotes and disclosures; Federal and State tax audit representation; nexus issues; tax planning and research; corporate tax structure and strategy; International Accounting and process flow (including transfer pricing development/documentation and accounting for international subsidiaries); governmental/international compliance; policy and procedure development; FIN 48 and Sarbanes Oxley Compliance.
Shannon is a graduate from the University of Michigan, holds active CPA licenses in both Arizona and Texas, and is a registered tax preparer in the State of New York. She is a Quickbooks ProAdvisor and a member of the AICPA, Texas Society of CPAs (Houston Chapter), Texas Business Traveler's Association, Managing Director of Texas Young Professionas ("TYP") Woodlands Chapter and a Founder of Women and Wine on Wednesdays (The Woodlands Chapter) which is a networking group supporting women in business.
Her primary focus is individuals and small business.
